Vadnais Heights Economic Development Corporation (VHEDC)
has made a passionate commitment to Workforce Development
by investing in vital collaborations among educational institutions
and Northeast Metro businesses. Local employers have remained
competitive, productive and “alive” through VHEDC’s Workforce
Development goals – the guidance and training of White Bear
Lake Career Pathways high school students and Century College
students so they become the skilled workers needed by Northeast
Metro businesses. Additionally, local economies are enriched and

In January 2019, VHEDC’s future Workforce Development goals were
bolstered and broadened when VHEDC received one of five Minnesota
Department of Labor and Industry’s Youth Skills Training Grants –
each valued at $95,000 – to launch a new partnership initiative: NE
Manufacturing Education Partnership (NEME). NEME will create new
paid, hands-on manufacturing opportunities for students in Roseville
Area Schools, North St. Paul/Maplewood/Oakdale Area Schools,
Mounds View Area Schools, White Bear Lake Area Schools and AFSA
