(SEH) – headquartered in Vadnais Heights– is an employee-owned engineering, architectural, environmental and planning company that helps government, industrial and commercial clients find answers to complex challenges. Scott Haupt, senior professional civil engineer with SEH for 11 years, says SEH has several major projects planned for 2019, including: • Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) Mississippi Gorge Regional Park Master Plan and Phases I and II Implementation. • Hennepin Avenue construction and renovation in downtown Minneapolis. • City of Saint Paul 2018 sanitary sewer services investigation. Haupt says, “Notable Vadnais Heights projects include: Vadnais Heights’ City Center Drive extension and street lighting projects; annual street and utility rehabilitation projects (over 20 miles of city streets since 1994); I-35E/ County Road E interchange; water tower reconditioning / rehabilitation projects; and preparation of numerous traffic, ground water and surface water reports / studies throughout the city.” The company’s local influence, however, goes beyond municipal projects. Company-wide, we’ve donated a grand total of over $165,000 to local food shelves in the communities that SEH serves,” says Haupt. SEH has supported Vadnais Heights Economic Development Corporation (VHEDC) and city-sponsored events for several years. Haupt has served on the VHEDC Board of Directors for two years and says SEH has had a representative on the VHEDC board for nearly 10 years. Haupt encourages others in the business community to serve with the VHEDC: “Having board representatives with different business backgrounds / areas of expertise provides a broader array of ideas as each member brings their own unique perspective to the board.
