Treatment Plan: Phase 2 Final impressions and delivery of a screw-retained acrylic prosthesis supported with a CAD/CAM titanium bar. Due to the position of her anterior sinus wall and the alveolar nerve if we did the traditional All-On-4® she would have a shorter bridge. Decision was made to place short implants posterior to the mental foramen and do indirect sinus augmentation in the posterior maxilla. The vertical dimension of occlusion [OVD] will be opened by 2 mm and major alveoplasty will be done in the maxilla since patient has a high smile line. Treatment OVD marked prior to beginning, administrated IV sedation and extracted the remaining teeth. Surgical guides were used throughout the process for alveoplasty and the implants’ abutments selection. Placed six dental implants in the maxilla and five in the mandible; the most distal implants in the maxilla needed indirect sinus augmentation. All dental implants were NobelActive™ and all achieved torque values that ranged between 35 and 70Ncm. A fixed screw-retained temporary prosthesis was made and delivered to patient on the day of surgery. Riad Almasri, DDS, FICOI Dr. Almasri is a specialized Prosthodontist.
