Dr. Maxine Feinberg to
deliver 2015 keynote address

exas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry graduates will receive words of wisdom from the leader of
the nation’s largest dental organization when
Dr. Maxine Feinberg, president of the American Dental
Association delivers the keynote address during the college’s
2015 commencement exercises May 27, 2015, at the Morton H.
Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas.
“We are thrilled to have the ADA president serve as our commencement speaker,” said Dr. Lawrence Wolinsky, TAMBCD
dean. “Hearing Dr. Feinberg’s professional journey and her lessons learned along the way will provide insights to how we as a
dental community, and especially our newest colleagues, can
help ensure our profession’s future.”
Feinberg, a periodontist who was installed as president of the
ADA in October 2014, has been active in both private practice
and organized dentistry.
She served as past trustee representing the ADA’s 4th District
and was the first woman to serve as president of the New Jersey
Dental Association. A delegate in both the ADA and New Jersey
Dental Association House of Delegates, she also was appointed
to the New Jersey State Board of Dentistry where she served for
10 years, including one term as president.
Feinberg chaired the ADA task force on student debt and served
as the Board of Trustees Liaison to the Council on Access,
Prevention and Interprofessional Relations, Commission on
Dental Accreditation, and Council on Dental Benefit Programs.
