COMING SOON BUSINESS DEVELOPMENTS Downtown / Main • A permit has been submitted to remodel the plot at 103 W. Apache St. for a Rock House Bar. The estimated cost of the remodel was listed at $75,000. • Pryor’s Pizza Kitchen has been issued a permit to carry out work at 123 W Main St. The remodel of the space is set to cost $75,000. • Crunch Fitness received a certificate of occupancy / completion last week and is now open. The fitness center is located at 2300 W Main Street, and the interior remodel project cost is listed at $750,000. • Red Effect Infrared Fitness has submitted a permit to put a location at 480 24th Ave. NW Suite 174. The space is being finished at a cost of $90,000 to the developer, according to the permit filed with the city. The majority of Red Effect locations currently are in Michigan. Campus Corner • Green Buffalo, a medical cannabis dispensary, received its certificate of completion / occupancy. It recently opened at 784 Asp. Ave., with remodel costs at the space costing $20,000. Northwest • A series of new facilities are planned for N. Flood Avenue, north of Tecumseh. Permits submitted by Ashton Gray, LLC, include $350,000 each for Boomer Dental at 4015 N. Flood Ave, Bodyworx Physical Therapy at 4019 N. Flood Ave, and Oklahoma Pain Management at 14 4023 N. Flood Avenue. • First Citizens Bank is building a new location at 3800 Journey Parkway. A permit for the $4.15 million project was issued last week. It will be the first branch of the bank in Norman. • El Huevo Mexi-Diner at 3522 24th Ave. NW is planned to be open in the middle part of April. The new Hal Smith project is a breakfast and lunch spot. UNP • A permit has been issued for the construction of a Residence Inn at 2400 Conference Dr. Construction costs for the hotel are an estimated $8.5 million. • Hotworx Fitness Center received a certificate of completion/ occupancy in the last week. The new establishment is located at 2216 24th Ave. NW and interior finishing work costs were listed at $149,000. • A Tea Room is moving into the space at 2164 NW 24th Ave. Though no update has been provided on its permit yet, VisitNorman indicated it is “coming soon.” West • BWA Architechts has submitted an application for a permit to build an office at 3637 W. Main St., in Sooner West Plaza. The work for the interior finish of the building is set to cost $425,000. • A permit has been submitted for addition/alteration work at 1204 N. Interstate Dr. Suite 120. The $10,000 project is reportedly for a “Tea and Smoothie Shop.” • Two stores will be coming to Ed Noble Parkway. Party City | Quarter 2 // 2019 will move into the old Toys R Us location at 560 Ed Noble Pky., with the alteration to the property valued at $734,628. Cost Plus World Market will occupy the old Michaels location at 520 Ed Noble Pky. at a price of $841,192. The Woodmont Company that owns both properties is also spending $1.2 million on work for the Bed, Bath and Beyond location already in the shopping center. • A Goodwill Donation Center will be installed at 1915 Classen Boulevard after a permit was issued for it this week. The project cost is listed at $2,000. Alameda / East • A permit has been submmitted for the construction of a medical marijuana growing facility. Westgate Gardens Greenhouse / Medical Marijuana Grow Building is planned for construction at 217 36th Ave. NE, and the estimated cost is $50,000. Classen Blvd • Magic Noodle received a certificate of occupation for 1915 Classen Blvd. Suite 119 last week. The $150,000 interior finish project is at the new Classen Landing strip mall near the Classen-Lindsey Street intersection. • Another Classen Landing business will be The Gas Station, a medical marijuana dispensary at 1915 Classen Blvd. Suite 115. The project is listed at $20,000 and had a permit issued. • Eskimo Sno has submitted an application for a temporary location at 1100 Constitution St. The cost for the temporary structure is $10,000.
