Poble Espanyol, Barcelona, Spain
Poble Espanyol, when literally translated, means a ‘Spanish town’. It is an open-air architectural museum in Barcelona built for the 1929 Barcelona International
Exposition to showcase the culture of Spain. Originally planned as a temporary exposition, to be demolished after the exposition, it was retained owing to its
huge success. Even today, it serves as a major destination in Barcelona, providing options for an all-day visit. It regularly hosts festivals and events. There are
several restaurants and gastronomic hubs within the development. The place serves as a platform for artists to exhibit their goods, who regularly work in the
villages of Spain, including blown glass, leather, ceramic, jewelry, masks, guitars etc.
