UNIVERSE IS ... "CHANGE"

rom the beginning NM CliQ Magazine has been a very personal endeavor for me, my
attempt to offer a professional, top-quality venue for local photographers, models, hair
and make up artists, designers and other entrepreneurs to show their New Mexico art to the
world. I have offered the magazine free of charge (digitally), and have personally absorbed
the cost of design, production and hosting.
In October, the $500 hosting fee comes due again and I am considering not renewing, but
instead changing from the current host, Joomag, to MagCloud. This would drastically reduce
the cost of publishing the magazine. However, doing so may present some problems for
those who wish to view, or purchase any of the previous issues. I can say with certainty that
you will NOT be able to view them on a cell phone. What I am unclear about at the moment is
whether or not the back issues will be archived on the site, and if so, for how long.
Another change that I am considering is publishing a separate Directory of Photographers,
Models and HMUAs. Doing so would reduce the overall size of the magazine by well over 50
pages, making it considerably more affordable for those who wish to purchase a hard copy.
The Directory will also be kept current and made available for viewing, download and print
as a separate magazine. As always, Personal Pages will be offered free of charge to locals.
I will also be actively seeking paid advertising for future issues. This magazine appeals to
a specific local demographic, and is seen by roughly 4,000 readers per issue. If you have a
service or product that would appeal to the LOCAL "Model" type of buyer (fashion, beauty,
photography, etc.), the LOCAL "Photographer" demographic (cameras, lenses, lighting,
locations, costumes, etc.), or the LOCAL "Consumer" reader (fashion shows, product
promotions, publications, wedding photography, portraits, etc.) this is the place to spend a
few of those advertising dollars. At just $100 for a full-page ad, you, your business, or people
you work with would be hard-pressed to find a more economical LOCAL advertising venue.
Want to advertise but don't have the ability to design your own ad? For the remainder of 2016,
NM CliQ Magazine will offer FREE DESIGN SERVICE with any paid ad placed.
