Skills learned are transferable to other jobs and situations. Prior to graduation students will create a wedding gown together and as a final project and they will sew their own graduation gowns. In addition TenderLove provides transportation and lunches, and students keep clothes they make for themselves and receive a percentage of monies earned from other arts and crafts projects they create. The Center is currently accepting applications for students for the 2015-2016 upcoming class that will start in November 2015. The all-volunteer staff and Board of Directors at TenderLove hope that through this Fashion Show, women who might benefit from the program will become aware of it, perhaps actually see the fashion show, and feel more comfortable and confident about visiting TenderLove’s center and exploring the program. We believe women can recover from trauma and painful experiences of the past. We will help them break the cycle of homelessness and empower them for a better future to achieve stable and self-sufficient lives for themselves and their families.
