JULIE PEARSON
Julie Pearson is a photographer and compositor from
Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Here is a little bit about her,
in her own words:
A bit about myself..
I'm the casual artist who’s mind is always running and always
trying to create.
As far back as I can remember I have always been interested
in photography. Growing up I discovered that the best
pictures are like jokes... "if you don't have to explain it, then
it's a really good one!"
My journey started with my first daughter, Mahélie. Just like any other mom I thought
(and still think) she was the most perfect little girl... so I started following her with
my camera, was she ever patient!
Then, my husband who was serving in the military got transferred and we moved
to Colorado Springs, CO. That was quite the step for me as I didn't know how to
speak English at the time. That being said, having no friends and family around, I
kept myself busy by getting to know more about photography and learning English.
After a little while, I thought It would be great to offer free photo sessions so I could
practice my speaking, practice my photography skills, learn and finally meet some
new friends.
It was only the beginning of my career in photography, where the possibilities are
endless.
