PFEW !! I HAD MY DOUBTS !

mentioned in the closing notes of last month ’ s issue , “ Due to some extensive outside
I commitments coming up in the month of May , there is a possibility the June and the July issues of NM CliQ Magazine will be combined into a single MASSIVE issue . I will make every attempt to edit and publish them as separate issues , but time is not on my side .” Now that it is over , I can tell you that the “ outside commitment ” I was referring to was a two-week vacation with Kathy in Italy .
We began in Cirque Terra ( Vernazza ), then to Milan , Lake Como ( Bellagio ), and finally on to Venice where we stayed until we came home . It was a fabulous vacation , but as you might imagine , did not allow a lot of extra time to work on the magazine ... as if I would . We brought back well over 5,000 images ( all of them fabulous , of course - we ’ ll have you over for a slide show some night !) Kathy will be offering a sneak peek of a few of her images in this issue , then we will share more online over time .
Of course , returning late Saturday night , only gave me three days to put the whole thing together . If that wasn ’ t pressure enough , I caught one doozie of a sinus head cold at the end of the trip and was having difficulty even seeing the screen . But here it is , and ON TIME !
I announced the themes for this month in the last issue : Summer Solstice , Fathers , Bikinis , Beaches and just about anything else that has to do with Summer . Imagine my surprise and dismay to arrive back home to find NO Fathers , NO Bikinis , NO Beaches and very little of anything else had been submitted . Come on people , this shiny , high-gloss , overpriced , photo magazine is for YOU . You can ’ t just sit back and wait for someone else to send in their stuff .
If you have ideas for themes for the month , or collaborative shoots that you would like to see if we can organize , let me know . New theme ideas are always helpful and I will do whatever I can do to help you make your collaborative shoot idea happen .
