Bergen County Local 102 shows
support for Breast Cancer Awareness
For the month of October, as NFL
teams added pink accents to their
uniforms to show support for breast
cancer awareness, members of Ber-
gen County Local 102 decided to
take their own action for the cause.
Local 102 celebrated Breast Cancer
Awareness Month with a T-shirt
fundraiser that brought in $1,500
for the cause.
On Jan. 17, Local 102 executive
board members visited the John
Theurer Cancer Center at Hacken-
sack University Medical Center to
present the funds raised through the
T-shirt sales. Local 102 was proud
to contribute to such an important
cause, and John Theurer Cancer
Center was honored to receive such
heartfelt support from their com-
munity’s first responders. d
