information with
the Member
Benefits Online
System

NEW JERSEY DIVISION OF PENSIONS AND BENEFITS
Did you know that accessing your pension and ben-
efits account information is only a few clicks away? As a
member of the Police and Firemen’s Retirement System
(PFRS), all you have to do is register for the Member Ben-
efits Online System (MBOS). Simply access the New Jersey
Division of Pensions & Benefits (NJDPB) website at www.
nj.gov/treasury/pensions and click the “Register for the
Member Benefits Online System (MBOS) link. You will be
guided through the registration process with easy, step-
by-step instructions.
Once registered, members of the PFRS can access their
personal pension and, if applicable, health benefits ac-
count information from the Department of Pension and
Benefits. MBOS offers registered members the following
online applications and services:
For employees
• Member account information
• Pension loans — estimates and online loan applica-
tion
• Online purchase application
• Payroll certifications
• Retirement estimates and online retirement applica-
tion
• Beneficiary designation
• Pension letters and statements
• State deferred compensation plan and Supplemental
Annuity Collective Trust (SACT) information (if appli-
cable)
• Health benefits account information (if applicable)
For retirees
• Retiree account information
• Retirement check information and check history
• Online direct deposit/electronic fund transfer (EFT)
application
• Retiree change of address and change of e-mail ad-
dress
• Federal and state income tax withholding
• Form 1099-R information and duplicate requests
• Beneficiary designation
• Pension letters and statements
• Retired health benefits account information (if appli-
cable)
