Lawrence Township hits
the gridiron for charity
Lawrence Township Local 119 defeated Slackwood Fire
Company 26-24 in the third annual Police-Fire Charity Foot-
ball Game on Nov. 26.
But the true winners on this day were the children. Local 119
combined with the fire department to collect more than 1,000
gifts through Toys for Tots. They also raised $1,500 to benefit
Mallory’s Army. The sponsorship of Captain Paul’s Firehouse
Dogs in Lawrence Township and Notre Dame High School’s
Irish Strength Club helped make the event a success.

On Nov. 28, Long Hill Township Local 322 recognized four
officers for lifesaving and honorable actions on the job. The of-
ficers were recognized with various awards of valor, including
the Medical Assistance Award and Honorable Service Award.
