Jersey Shore Jeepers thank PBA members
The Jersey Shore Jeepers Club insists that driv-
ing a Jeep isn’t just a form of transportation; it’s
a way of life. But it’s not only the all-terrain, top-
on, top-off, rev-of-the-engine lifestyle that these
drivers value — they also have a deep respect for
law enforcement.
Jeep drivers made this officer appreciation
known on Nov. 17, when a caravan of Wranglers
included members of Wall Township Local 234
and Howell Township Local 228 for the club’s
third annual Back the Blue Ride.
Approximately 100 Jeep vehicles made the trip
to the local police departments to meet with offi-
cers and thank them for their tireless work in the
community. And since the Jersey Shore Jeepers
know the cost of equipping their vehicles with
top-notch Jeep armor and protection, the club
also made a donation to the police departments
to offset the cost of officers’ vital body armor.
The Jersey Shore Jeepers’ Back the Blue event
was organized by retired Robbinsville Township
Police Department officer and former State Del-
egate Brian Boccanfuso. Boccanfuso may have
switched gears from a patrol car to a Jeep Wran-
gler, but the retired member was able to find a
way to mix his two lifestyles and spread appreci-
ation for his brothers and sisters in blue with the
Jeepers’ Back the Blue awareness cruise.
