holiday season by giving

The holiday giving spirit arrived early for Verona Local 72
this year, as members once again joined efforts for the eighth
annual Holiday Food Collection.
On Nov. 18, Local 72 members filled the aisles of grocery
stores while filling carts with an assortment of Thanksgiving
ingredients. The collected food was then sorted into numer-
ous bags of groceries that were delivered to the Verona Health
Department and other areas of the community with families
in need.
“All year long, our members try and help as many people
and also assist as many charitable organizations as we can,”
said Local 72 Vice President Chris Scheper. “During the holi-
days, it’s nice to lend a hand and ease those worries for some.”
