I began with Nurse-Family Partnership’s National Service Office as chief operations officer just over a year ago and am honored to now be president and CEO. I’ve had the opportunity to visit 14 of the 42 states Nurse-Family Partnership currently serves. When meeting with funders, law makers and public health departments I’ve found it inspiring to see their dedication to the communities they work with and their support of Nurse-Family Partnership. It’s a desire to see communities have a brighter future for everyone, regardless of their circumstances. I’ve had the opportunity and honor to spend time with over a hundred of our nurses and have been on many home visits. I’m moved by the tenacity, passion and dedication of our nurses to provide opportunities to parents that would not otherwise know about them. Our nurses have a unique window in a world of challenges we all know exist but rarely see firsthand. Their expertise and willingness to dedicate their careers to this work is the foundation of Nurse-Family Partnership. They are the bedrock and the hope for a brighter future for moms and babies most in need.

My unique role has afforded

From San Diego to the

our country.

Another observation is that none of us can do this alone or in a vacuum. Partnering and sharing lessons learned and innovations will allow us to have a greater impact shifting culture to proactive support of the most vulnerable and most in need. Our collective impact is far greater than any single innovation improving the lives of our families and the moms and babies we still need to reach.

The National Service Office is committed to bringing together every aspect of Nurse-Family Partnership across the country. Each day we ask ourselves how we can make our funders dollars more effective to reach more families and provide the best outcomes possible for their communities. We think about our nurses and how we can make their impact greater while making their lives easier. Most importantly we hold ourselves to the highest performance standards while working with a sense of urgency to deliver on our commitment to everyone involved in Nurse-Family Partnership.

We are all part of something much bigger than ourselves – a shared vision of a future where being born into difficult circumstances should not dictate a child’s entire life and a belief we can achieve this together.
