St. Anne's Montego Bay Mission Trip
July 16-23, 2016
This island is known for tourism as cruise ships make stops in this
tropical paradise, but many communities remain in need of basic
things much of the world takes for granted. Your participation on this
Jamaica mission trip could make an eternal impact on the people with
whom you come in contact or serve as you are an essential part to a genuine partnership.
You will be given the opportunity to share the love of Jesus
with children, adults, youth, and elderly people who need to be
reminded that they are not alone. You will serve alongside and
empower local community members, and churches as we try to
meet the greatest needs of the community together.
Work projects include:
medical clinics, clothing give-away, construction and engaging with children through Christian education classes.
I graduated on June 24, 2016 from phase one of the Certificate Of
Progress Program (COPP). I have completed the six classes required
and one of two classes required to teach at the local and district level.
Most of my classes were taken at MMMBC, however some were taken
at an accredited school in Detroit. My plans are to complete all four
phases of the program as I teach. I need three classes to complete the
second phase. I ask for your prayers, because along with the classes
come a greater responsibility. There are times when I wonder, can I do
this? Am I even qualified for such a task? It is only through prayer and
meditation and encouragement from others that I get strength to
continue.
Thank You ………..Sis. Mattie Harris
