PAGE 8 Mafikeng High School Learners Self-Search Have you ever looked at yourself in the mirror? You look pretty/handsome, don‘t you? But now have you ever looked within? Your values, beliefs or the inner you. Who are you when this generation gadgets are around; who are you when you are not too busy trying to please people, trying to be someone you are not. Majority of us are like spinach, we appear big, stable but once we are pressurized by our friends, we wither or shrink. We have become immune to the persona, the fronts, the fake characters we have created. We have lost ourselves during the process of the so called ―finding yourself‖. I believe and trust that with the foundation Mafikeng High School has we will find ourselves. Each person on Earth has a purpose and having the opportunity to go to school every day helps to find ourselves.
