Berjaya University College of Hospitality becomes the 17th member of the Alliance
On May 9th, Mae Ho, Executive Director of Berjaya University College of Hospitality (BERJAYA UCH) and Eléonore Vial,
Dean Director of Academic Development of Institut Paul Bocuse, formally signed a partnership agreement making
BERJAYA UCH the 17th member of the Institut Paul Bocuse Worldwide Alliance.
Berjaya University College of Hospitality is arguably Malaysia’s premier University
College in the fields of Hospitality, Culinary Arts, Tourism and Event Management,
situated in the golden triangle of Kuala Lumpur. Located on the 11th and 14th floors
of Berjaya Times Square, it is conceptually designed with a 5-stars hotel ambiance
equipped with the most comprehensive and advanced facilities that mirrors real
world settings. BERJAYA UCH also offers courses in Business and Liberal Arts.
It is an honor to be recognized by Institut Paul Bocuse as the top institution of higher learning specializing in
Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts in Malaysia. The synergy between the two institutions will ensure
that our students are equipped with technical, behavioral and managerial skills required in the corporate
world. For the past three years, BERJAYA UCH has been a resolute partner of Bocuse d’Or Academy whereby
our collective efforts saw Team Malaysia winning Bronze Medal in the 2014 Bocuse d’Or Asia Pacific
Selection. The team moved up another notch to subsequently qualify for Bocuse d’Or 2015 in Lyon, France, a
competition that is considered as the ‘Culinary Olympics’ of the gastronomic world.
Mae Ho, Executive Director of Berjaya University College of Hospitality
Berjaya University College of Hospitality is working to make higher education more accessible, affordable and
attainable for everyone. The PTPTN education financing scheme is available for Malaysian students. The affiliation
with the Berjaya Corporation Group of Companies also allows BERJAYA UCH to host several bursary schemes and
education scholarships available to both local and international students.
Being a member of the Institut Paul Bocuse Worldwide Alliance further enhances the
learning curve for our students not only through the appreciation of their culinary
heritage but also through cross cultural
promotion of gastronomy, culture and
education built on the Worldwide Alliance values of Trust, Respect and Commitment.
