Getting ready for Bocuse d ’ Or at Haaga Helia Finland

On Mid-January 2017 , just few days before the finals of the Bocuse d ’ Or competition held in Lyon ( France ) during SIRHA 2017 , the Finnish competitor Chef Eero Vottonen with his assistant Miikka Manninen built their training kitchen as pop-up to the Haaga Helia Campus in Helsinki , Finland . This was the final rehearsal with real audience . Sixteen stakeholders of Haaga-Helia UAS were invited to taste the plates – with a strict forbid to take any photos on food . Warm thanks to Chef Eero Vottonen , Miikka Manninen , and to students and staff of Haaga Helia University of Applied Sciences who helped organizing the event .

Berjaya UCH and CEHE launches the Asian Institute of Culinary Arts ( AICA )

China Europe Hospitality Education Group ( CEHE ), a global organization established with the support of renowned International Hotel Groups and Higher Hospitality Education Institutes Worldwide collaborated with Berjaya University College of Hospitality ( BERJAYA UCH ) to form a locally based institution . The collaboration is intended to develop an international culinary educational joint venture and establish an Asian Institute of Culinary Arts ( AICA ). It aims to promote international talents exchange and cooperation programs . In addition , it also facilitates the Chinese and Asian cooking educational training between the two countries ; China and Malaysia .
Mae Ho , Executive Director / Chief Executive Officer of Berjaya Higher Education Sdn . Bhd . and Professor Li Li , Chairman of China Europe Hospitality Education Group ( CEHE ) formally officiated the launch of the Asian Institute of Culinary Arts ( AICA ) last January 19 th , 2017 .
The launching was followed by a Sichuan Cuisine tasting event presented by Professor Yuan Xinyu , Professor and Dean of the School of Hospitality Management , Sichuan Tourism University , China .
