REPORT CONTEST Thursday 7/8 – Setup day/Scrutineering The team arrived early on track, having arrived the previous night safely in Hradec Kralove. After registering all team members on site, we proceeded into out pit box, which for the Czech competition was inside an old war airplane bunker, as the competition is held in a former military airbase. Almost every other team was already there, since most of them drove in one day early to be prepared. Immediately some team members started assembling the car for the technical inspection, while the rest started cleaning and setting up the team booth. After waiting in the scrutineering queue for a couple of hours, it was our turn to enter the electrical scrutineering. The technical inspectors were impressed by our car and we passed easily on the first go, proceeding to the mechanical scrutineering right after. This was also passed with no difficulties at all, and so did the tilt test. Unfortunately, during the rain test the team discovered that some damage was done to the battery/electronics during transportation, and since there was no time left, we focused on cleaning and preparing the car for the next days’ static events that would start really early in the morning UoP Racing Team | University of Patras | Rio, Patras 26500,
