Saint-Joseph University of Beirut becomes the 16th member of the Worldwide Alliance
On April 7th 2016, Salim Daccache, superintendent of the Saint-Joseph University of Beirut, and
Hervé Fleury, Executive Vice-President of Institut Paul Bocuse, along with many ambassadors
of the trade, formalized the signing of a new partnership that was established in Lebanon.
A 16th partner joins the intimate circle of the Worldwide Alliance!
Founded in 1875, Saint-Joseph University has five campuses in Beirut, three regional centers in Lebanon and one campus
in the United Arab Emirates. In the near future, its courses - which are accredited by the ECTS system - will enable the
exchange of students between Saint-Joseph University and the Worldwide Alliance school members.

ITE-IPB students involved in the inaugural Bocuse d’Or Asia Selection in Singapore
BOCUSE D’OR ASIA SELECTION AT FOOD HOTEL ASIA 2016
ITE-IPB Technical Diploma students were involved in the inaugural Bocuse d’Or
Asia Selection in Singapore on April 14th and April 15th at the Food Hotel Asia
2016. The Year 3 students were divided into groups to assist as the second
apprentice to the 9 Asia teams competing as well as the food service to the Main
Judging Jury. It was an event which exposed the students to one of the most
prestigious culinary competitions in the world. The top five teams who will
compete in the Bocuse d’Or in Lyon 2017 are 1st (Japan), 2nd (Singapore), 3rd
(Australia) and South Korea & China.

After a grueling 4-day competition from 12 - 15 April at the annual Food & Hotel Asia (FHA), ITE is proud to announce
recognise the winners of FHA 2016 Culinary Challenge! The TED students and Alumni Teacher performed well at the
competition!
