Great things are not achieved by a giant leap but by small steps brought together .A small but significant step is to clip nails of mother and children because that leads to a lot of infections and malnutrition . At Sangmeshwar Hospital everyday, a nurse goes around the whole hospital and clips nails of all patients and even attenders , because this step will tell them how much we value hand hygiene .Nurses are taught during their training to carry nail cutters in their pocket ,but it was forgotten practice .This is nothing new ,it just needed to be renewed .
