“All the materials are appropriate to
the location,” he says. “The painted cedar
weatherboards reference the traditional
cottages in the district. And the timberframed joinery and louvres at the front of
the house were also specified to meet local
regulations that dictate wood joinery for
doors and windows facing the street.”
