scenic towns in New Zealand – it’s also
one of the most historic.
Not surprisingly, new homes built in
the town need to be in keeping with the
heritage character. This new Arrowtown
home was custom designed and built by
Fowler Homes following a concept plan
designed by the owners’ architect daughter
to meet this brief.
The house offers a contemporary take
on tradition, however, with a long blade
wall in local schist signalling the entry.
