One of my favorite experiences this past year was again made possible by Amtrak. Taking a college break, my daughter traveled from Buffalo via Amtrak to join my son—a Syracuse-area resi- Amtrak.com dent—and me to witness a terrific college basketball game at Syracuse University’s Carrier Dome. The outcome was a thrilling, last- second Orange win over Duke and family night together. After the game, the evening Amtrak train returned my daughter to Buffalo without her having to miss her classes the next morning—from what I was told!
