Coming to Benefit Trinidad and
Las Animas County
DARRYL WORLEY, top country music performer, will host a benefit concert in
Trinidad to benefit the rancher’s in the area and the city of Trinidad.
The concert is being held on Sunday, September 25 at the Middle School Auditorium
in Trinidad, Colorado. The time and ticket info are forthcoming.
Darryl Worley is making a detour from his nation-wide tour to come to Trinidad for a
benefit concert. The concert will benefit local rancher’s, many of which have been hard
hit with combination of weather-related issues and sliding beef prices, and Trinidad
and Las Animas County.
Over his 15-year career in country music Darryl Worley has distinguished himself as
someone who give’s back. His annual fundraiser supports the Darryl Worley Cancer
“People should know that all the proceeds from the Darryl Worley benefit
concert will be going to local ranchers and the community.”
Treatment Center in Savannah, Tennessee, and he is currently bringing his talents to
bear on building a new wellness center geared toward assisting youth battling abuse of
drugs and alcohol. And, while Darryl helps those around him, he has also spent much
of his career giving back to the men and women overseas doing their job to keep our
country safe.
Some of his biggest hit include: “Have You Forgotten” is inspired by the events of
9/11, “I Miss My Friend,” “When You Need My Love,” and “Awful, Beautiful Life” -just 4 of 15 hit records that spent weeks at the top of the country music charts.
The Trinidad Community Foundation (TCF) is hosting and organizing the September
25th benefit. TCF Board member Tony Hass, who was instrumental in bringing Darryl
to Trinidad, said: “I hope people in our community will take advantage of this rare
opportunity to hear some of the best country music ever. It’s a rare treat to get a star of
Darryl’s caliber to our small community.”
TCF President, Lou Simpleman, added: “People should know that all the proceeds
from the Darryl Worley benefit concert will be going to local ranchers and the
community. Most all the expenses for the concert are being picked by generous donors
and sponsors.
