linear methodologies such as
the reinterpretation of published
music as well as the observa-
tion of the human dynamic and
interaction. My mission is to cre-
ate meaningful pieces of theatre
that develop organically and are
told to the audience in a truthful,
thoughtful and compelling way.
Do you think that couples still
go through many of the same
problems as Robyn and Cliff?
Absolutely! The characters in
my piece are dealing with issues
of drug use, sexual identity, age-
ism, racial inequality, prejudice
and stereotypes. It still surprises
me that interracial relationships
are considered shocking in some
parts of the country and it floors
me that prejudice and inequal-
ity of any kind is still happening
. In some ways I feel like we’ve
moved forward only to move
back again...I suppose that’s
the nature of evolution, but -
seriously? Can’t we all just get
along, lol!
