David Rivinus began a decades-long fascination with dreams while working as an
educational therapist at a mental health
clinic in the 1970s. During this time he studied with Gestalt therapists who were dream
experts. And over the course of this study,
David was startled to discover that there is
far less difference between the dreams we
have at night and the events of our daytime
hours, especially events that are unexpected or upsetting. Since then,
he has lectured and facilitated workshops in multiple countries across
Western Europe and the Americas, and he has now documented his
findings in the book Always Dreaming—Gaining Insights from the Metaphors of our Sleeping and Waking Lives.
