at their 2013 Graduation Dinner

he title of this talk is Leaving. It could also be Arriving, or even Creating.
But what may be most present in our minds tonight is leaving – “receiving
my well-earned degree and leaving the college state, my alma mater, and my
friends.”
But leaving is also arriving. The moment we move away from one place,
situation, or state, we are also moving toward – or maybe even creating –
another.
