HOLY
This term is properly predicated of that which flows into man through heaven from the
Lord. Strictly speaking, therefore, the Lord Himself is not holy but Divine, and the holy is that
which proceeds from Him. The Lord Himself is above the heavens, for He is the Divine Man
in the midst of the spiritual sun; the Divine which proceeds out of that sun from Him in the
angelic heavens is what is called holy. (See Arcana Coelestia 9956, 10472)
