T
here is a New Church teaching that draws our attention to the very first
thing written down in the ancient Scriptures – what we now call the
Old Testament. It calls us to consider, not the creation story, but the Ten
Commandments, specifically the words, “I am the LORD your God.” It says:
“This is the first truth to be stated by the Lo ɐ
