The valedictorian for the Girls School was Serenity
Lee. Theta Alpha Gold Awards were presented to
Michelle Bedford, Grace Cowley, Nicole King and
Emily McQueen.
The valedictorian for the Boys School was Luke
Cory Boyce gives the
commencement address
David. Boys School Faculty Silver Awards were presented
to Jay Eiben, Richard Glenn and Dustin Smith, and a
Gold Award to Luke David.
The commencement address – A Coach and a Winning Team – was
delivered by Boys School faculty member Cory Boyce. (See page 369)
Honorary diplomas were presented to: Lisa Asplundh, Denise De Figlia,
Jeffrey Lites, Kenneth Schauder and Janice Shihadeh.
At the Academic Awards the night before graduation, Academic Excellence
Awards – for at least four department awards – were presented to: Marley
Asplundh, Zachary Brock, Shannah Conroy, Jared Hyatt and Dustin Smith.
The Emilie K. Asplundh Grant for the Performing Arts went to Leanna
Zecher.
At the athletic awards night, the Girls School honored:
Outstanding Athlete: Nicole King
Outstanding Sportsmanship: Laura Clymer and Lauren Asplundh
Boys School honors went to:
Payson Lyman Award for sportsmanship: Brandon Hill
Stanley F. Ebert Award for outstanding athletics, academics and
sportsmanship: Jay Eiben
Britte Genzlinger was a National Merit Scholarship Winner and Kendra
Halterman was a National Merit Commended Student.
In Delta Mu, Aaliya Mapp was honored for more than 1,100 hours of
community service, Ben Kees for more than 700 hours, Schuyler Williams for
more than 300 hours, and 16 others for 200 and 100 hours.
SWEDENBORG FOUNDATION
Several staff changes have been announced at the Swedenborg Foundation as
part of a reorganization and new strategic goals, including the appointment of
Morgan Beard as Operations Manager.
The new goals, adopted unanimously by the Board of Directors last year,
