The Commencement Address – The Confidence to Make a Difference –
was delivered by the Rev. Eric H. Carswell. (See page 365) Mr. Carswell is
the outgoing Vice Chancellor of the Academy and Bishop’s Representative for
New Church Education. He became pastor of the Bryn Athyn Society on July
1.

ACADEMY SECONDARY SCHOOLS COMMENCEMENT
The Academy Secondary Schools graduated 54 students on June 1 – 24 from
the Girls School and 34 from the Boys School, with 30 of them graduating with
honors.
The students hailed from six states (Arizona, Florida, Maryland, Michigan,
Pennsylvania and New Jersey), and four from South Korea.
