Make your
phone system
work for you

How often do you think about
your phone system? Adrian Hipkiss
explains five signs that your office
communications need a rethink
For most businesses, the only time the phone system comes
to mind is when it’s not working. It’s treated much like an
office function that runs constantly in the background, much
like an air conditioning unit, or the office printer.
Yet this ‘set it and forget it’ mindset can be incredibly
costly for businesses. When you install an air conditioner,
you can be sure that you will keep it turned off all winter
and then on during the summer. The same cannot be said
for your office communications. The way we work – and
how a business interacts with its customers – has changed,
and is changing, beyond all recognition. And while you can
guarantee that an air conditioner is probably of benefit to
your office environment, the wrong kind of phone system
could be actively doing harm to the productivity of your
staff, and ultimately your business.
