Rapidly deployable pre-terminated
cabling is enabling integrators to
deliver projects faster than ever
Enterprise IT departments are under extreme pressure to
deliver projects faster than ever to meet tough timelines
for production systems. For integrators, overrunning
construction schedules can make meeting these extreme
deadlines even more challenging. For customers who are
completing projects on multiple locations with similar
demands, having their cabling pre-terminated has a number
of advantages.
Pre-termination is a robust solution. Rigorous testing of
the cabling can be done off-site in a controlled environment,
and the complete package can then be shipped to the job
site for installation into a myriad of pathways and spaces.
For a well-planned project, time spent installing is
substantially reduced when utilising pre-terminated fibre.
Both vertical and horizontal cable management can be
addressed and simplified using pre-connected cable systems
for trunks, cable assemblies and connector modules, often
referred to as plug and play systems. Because backbone
cables aren’t spliced on-site, time spent by installation
engineers is reduced, bringing an instant cost-savings; and a
simpler and easier process means less chances of a mistake.
Crucially, when new build construction schedules overrun,
as they commonly do, and other unpredictable elements
