With access to their superior range of cabling systems , which includes fire safety and lift cables , as well as data network products like the IT-Safe , we can support global account customers who have already specified the Datwyler solution .
Datwyler invest heavily in R & D and constantly strive to produce superior cabling systems ( up to Category 8 ) with headroom to ensure reliable network operation for data centres ; as well as electrical integrity for new high power IoT / IP devices – which can challenge inferior products .
The new Construction Products Regulation ( CPR ) for the classification of cable fire behaviour , are another example of Datwyler ’ s professional approach to the industry . The ‘ Construction Products Regulation : Clear Labelling of Cable Fire Safety Cable Classes ’ applies to energy , control and communications cables intended for permanent installation . Since July 2016 the new European standards for the classification of fire behaviour have been officially applicable .
As of the 1st July 2017 , only cables tested and classified in accordance with the new standards can be marketed in Europe . European test laboratories are accredited to test cables and assign the new European classes ( Euroclasses ). From February 2017 onwards , Datwyler will be incorporating the ‘ Declarations of Performance ’ ( DoP ’ s ) on its cables , on data sheets and on the website .
