ESSENTIAL SELECTION Rittal debuts new 19 inch fastener Speed up installation with a new fastener from Rittal. Rittal has debuted a new fastener that allows components to be quickly and easily installed on, or removed from 19 inch mounting level of racks. Following the plug and play principle, the 19 inch fastener is simply slid onto the rail from the inside and then locked. At the same time, the integrated contacting ensures the potential equalisation needed.
The fastener has robust construction, ensuring it can be repeatedly dismantled and reused. It can be used with every enclosure in the Rittal product range straight away. It is available as a pre-assembled 1U support with three captive nuts, including centre attachment, to standard EIA 310. The new adaptors are designed for almost any users, including professional, multimedia and remote users while connecting to the new range of 802.11AC wireless routers and access points (AP). The Dynamode WL-AC-1200M-B is aimed at users with poor wireless range, as the product features a pair of removable SMA antennas and like all modules from the range, is both 2.4Ghz and the less congested 5Ghz bands compatible with up to 1,200Mbps Wi-Fi access. Next on the list is the WL-AC-1200M-A, which is a regular USB3 all-in-one adaptor, again working at 1,200Mbps and is dual band with excellent range, considering its highly integrated antenna. Finally, regular 600Mbps Wi-Fi has not been forgotten and the new Dynamode WL-AC600M is a nano-sized adaptor, dual band and is ideal for professional and retail users needing faster speeds than the majority of integrated Wi-Fi systems. As always, this new generation of Wi-Fi adaptors are Windows10, Mac OS X and Linux compliance out of the box. Quantenna announces new 802.11ax Wi-Fi solution Quantenna Communications has announced an 802.11ax product called QSR10G-AX. It is built on Quantenna’s QSR10G Wave 3 Wi-Fi platform and adds support for the draft 1.0 of the IEEE specification 802.11ax standard. As Wi-Fi usage continues to grow, the Wi-Fi 802.11 IEEE standard evolves to cope with the augmented complexity of Wi-Fi networks. 802.11ax was designed with the goal of increasing Wi-Fi efficiency in dense deployments. In addition, it improves Wi-Fi network capacity and performance in terms of its ability to support more simultaneous clients. Lastly, 802.11ax provides increased speed over 802.11ac. The QSR10G-AX solution will support 12 total streams: eight streams in the 5GHz band and four streams in the 2.4GHz band. QSR10G-AX adds support for downlink and uplink OFDMA (Orthogonal FrequencyDivision Multiple Access), providing superior network efficiency in dense environments as well as high uplink performance. OFDMA dedicates different sub-carriers for individual client devices. This allows multiple devices to be simultaneously served. QSR10G-AX is designed to enable a very easy and fast transition for existing QSR10G customers. The QSR10G-AX chipset is pin-to-pin compatible with QSR10G, Quantenna’s Wave 3 12 stream dual band 802.11ac and 802.11n access point solution. As a result, customers designing with QSR10G solution will be able to drop in the new QSR10G-AX solution.
