ESSENTIAL SELECTION
Private and
confidential
Security is an issue that affects all
business types, from the smallest
companies to the largest. Many
businesses now adopt IP telephony
to save on trunk-call costs to
branches and to customers, being
installed on small networks,
Wi-Fi, fibre and everything in
between. However, there is an
ongoing requirement for these
communications to remain private.
Yutel Solutions, marketed in the
UK by York and Union, has developed
a 100 per cent uptime and totally
secure end-to-end encryption
solution, not just for IP desktop
mounted phone systems, but for
smartphones and mobiles also.
The Yutel ConfidentialGateway
server provides zero latency and
100 per cent secure call routing
with encryption generated on the
fly. For companies and government
departments of any size, the Yutel
solution is ideal for installers, system
integrators and IT managers to
‘bolt’ on to new or existing IP phone
systems from leading vendors.

Exit strategy
R&M has expanded its range of RJ-45 connection modules. There is now a cable exit at a 90° angle available
for the Category 6A EL module. This means the network connection can be accommodated in particularly
narrow outlets and unusual installation situations. Using the 90° cable exit, installers can avoid manually
bending cables in outlets and, as a result, avoid diminished efficiency in the LAN. Further typical areas of use
are small floor tanks and narrow conduits.
The Category 6A EL range from R&M is designed for the fast expansion of structured cabling systems.
An installer can wire the module in under a minute. The eight copper conductors can be contacted in next to
no time. Whereas in the past, several days were needed to wire a network distributor for structured cabling
systems, it now takes just hours with the Category 6A EL module. The RJ-45 socket makes it possible to
operate a local data network with 10 Gigabit Ethernet.
The Category 6A EL module retains its full performance capacity when the 90° cable exit is used. The
defined guidance of the twisted-pairs at an angle ensures stable signal quality. This means the module is also
perfect for 10 Gigabit Ethernet transmission in the 90° version.
The angled cable exit is an accessory which can be assembled on every standard Category 6A EL
standard. The advantage – installers require just one module type which they can use to deal with all tasks
and applications. This simplifies logistics during installation work, the termination of the RJ-45 connections
and later maintenance work on the LAN.

Hall or nothing
Schneider Electric has
announced the introduction
of its new prefabricated
data centre solution – the
SmartShelter Data Hall, which
is ideally suited for service
providers, cloud operators,
and large enterprises where
scalability, efficiency, and
capital preservation are the
key business drivers.
Utilising a standardised approach to design, operation and management, the SmartShelter Data Hall
is a multi-module, prefabricated solution that enables customers to quickly add capacity in increments of
50-100+ racks. This dramatically simplifies the initial development and on site installation, whilst providing
a resilient data centre solution that is more predictable in cost and performance, when compared to a
traditionally built facility.
The spacious solutions are factory assembled and tested with Schneider Electric’s data centre racks,
power, precision cooling, and integrated with Struxureware Data Center Expert DCIM softw
