Chargifi wireless charging well and truly on the map with new Nuttalls partnership

Chargifi has partnered with award winning interior fit-out , signage and display company The Alan Nuttall Partnership , in a bid to provide businesses globally with convenient , innovative wireless charging .
The partnership is particularly relevant following research by Chargifi , which reveals that 56 per cent of British adults believe wireless charging should be made a free amenity in public areas .
Nuttalls counts most of the UK ’ s biggest and best high street brands amongst its clients , such as Pret a Manger , Fortnum and Mason and Wasabi , who will now have the opportunity to benefit from Chargifi ’ s solutions .
Wireless charging is going to be critical to the future environment for such businesses , as Chargifi have seen an increase in charging dwell time from 24 to 26 minutes and found that if venues can increase their customers ’ visit by one per cent , there is a 1.3 per cent increase in sales .
Chargifi was founded in 2013 by 27 year old Dan Bladen who went travelling for six months and found many of the places he visited made it difficult to charge devices easily . The service , which brings free , convenient power to people , will mean businesses can encourage customers to charge their devices without the hassle of using a cable whilst also capturing user behaviour . Xirrus Wi-Fi transports St . Pancras International Station to a high speed wireless future

Xirrus has announced that WIFI Metropolis has installed a Xirrus Wi-Fi network throughout St . Pancras International Station . Originally opened in 1868 , St Pancras is famous for being the home of the UK ’ s first high speed rail link and the country ’ s main Eurostar hub .
A marvel of Victorian engineering and the original gateway to London , today St . Pancras International has been reimagined as a retail and cultural destination . It has a weekly footfall of up to 1 million people and more shops than any other UK railway station . In addition , the station boasts its own fresh produce market , regularly changing arts installations and the longest champagne bar in Europe .
WIFI Metropolis selected the Xirrus Wi-Fi solution as part of a major upgrade to improve the wireless experience for visitors and passengers . The previous Wi- Fi infrastructure could not cope with the density of usage , particularly at peak times in the evening when , between 5pm and 8pm , up to 5,000 devices could be connected to the station ’ s Wi-Fi network . The robust connectivity offered by Xirrus Wi-Fi also helped to meet the challenge of providing a fast and reliable 5Ghz wireless service in a Grade ! listed building dominated by 19th century iron columns that absorb and weaken Wi-Fi signals .
