COLUMN editorial Change you can control E verywhere you look these days, change is on the cards, economics, politics, environment and technology. Some can be characterised as good, some bad, depending on your point of view. The other thing about change is that sometimes you can influence it, sometimes you can’t. As for the comms sector, change is of course a constant, it delivers challenges, but much more importantly opportunities. Taking a look at all the features we have this month which have a particular focus on the issues around IP security (much in the news of late) underlines the sheer amount of and types of change UK companies are having to face up to. What amounts to a headache to them, of course amounts to opportunities for comms professionals to deliver change free of pain and with confidence about meeting any new changes that the future brings. 05 Editorial.indd 4 On a smaller scale, NCN has its own little bit of change coming as we are in the final stages of appointing a new lead journalist to take the publication forward. We look forward to welcoming them in time for the next issue, so check out this column next time to find out who. Daniel J Sait Interim editor, NCN 02/12/2016 16:27
