PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
Happy fall everyone! Here at Evergreen Gardens we’re gearing up for the holidays and then buttoning things up for the winter ahead. It’s been a good year and I hope you’ve experienced the same.
This month, the NENA board of directors has been hard at work reviewing more than 20 impressive grant applications. We’ve made our recommendations to HRI and look forward to revealing our selection in early 2018.
We’re looking ahead to our Annual Breakfast Meeting that will be held on Friday, December 1 at New England GROWS. We’re delighted that Craig Regelbrugge, Senior Vice President at AmericanHort will travel from Washington, DC to bring us up-to-date on what’s happening in the horticulture industry. He’ll fill us in on national trends, legislative activities, and workforce development efforts. Our breakfast meeting is complimentary for all members and is a great way to reconnect at the end of a busy year.
This issue of NENA’s Newsline focuses on New England GROWS – the best green
industry conference and trade show in the Northeast. I am one of the thousands
of horticulture professionals from all across our region who looks forward to GROWS every year! It is truly a “must-attend” event, loaded with innovation, inspiration and practical takeaways you’ll use all the time.
NENA is very proud to be a founding partner of this important event that gives back so much to our local industry. Our sincere thanks to the countless volunteers who make it all happen. I look forward to seeing you at GROWS!
