Oslo has had a bit of a facelift over the last 10 or so years.
So much so that it’s considered a front-runner when it comes to
public art and architecture. The Norwegian government recently
launched “architecture now”, which looks at challenges and
opportunities like sustainable development, climate change
and the transformation and globalisation of modern day society.

The city has a very open-minded approach to design. When
the new opera house was built, they consulted skateboarders on
the exterior design and surfaces because; “they’ll be using the
end results”. This revolutionary outlook has transformed Oslo’s
skyline and expanded the boundaries of modern architecture.
