recently proclaimed
Denmark the happiest
place on Earth. It took
several years to reach this
verdict and the survey
looked at education, health
and welfare. Denmark
is also the world’s least
corrupt country, the second
most peaceful country and
boasts the highest level of
income equality.

Citizens pay sky-high taxes,
but that ensures that all
health care, education and
social care are covered
by the government.
Trains run on time and
summerhouses at the beach
are a given. The country
was also the first to legalise
pornography and grant
same-sex couples nearly all
of the rights of marriage.
