Emerald CAPITAL CAMPAIGN : A 3-Year Strategy for Financial Stability of Continental Societies , Inc .
In November , 2016 , The National Economic Development Committee was asked to contribute $ 10,000.00 to the national budget . In an effort to achieve this goal , the Emerald Capital Campaign was launched to extend over a 3- year period . The purpose of the Emerald Capital Campaign is to achieve a stable financial base from which future growth and fiscal health can be attained . By definition a CAPITAL CAMPAIGN is : “….. an intensive fund raising effort designed to raise a specified sum of money within a defined time period to meet the varied asset-building needs of an organization .” The Capital Campaign year one will begin March 3 , 2017 and end August 1 2017 .
Emerald Status is open to all contributing , active members from each region . Special thanks to the 58 sisters who are Emerald members ! Southeastern Region- 23 ; Eastern- 21 ; Mid-Atlantic-10 and Midwest Western- 4 . Because of their generous support , the goal was exceeded and $ 17,400 was contributed , this first year !
WHAT IS AN EMERALD STATUS MEMBER ? An Emerald Status Member pays $ 300 ( by August 1 , 2017 ) as a stakeholder in the 2017 CAPITAL CAMPAIGN . WHAT DISTINGUISHES AN EMERALD STATUS MEMBER FROM ANY OTHER MEMBER OF CONTINENTAL SOCIETIES ?
Upon payment of the " status fee ", Emerald Members will have the following benefits : 1 ) A special " EMERALD STATUS ” designation ( tangible gift and recognition )
2 ) Special reserved seating at Conclave and National Board Meeting luncheons
3 ) Special recognition in the conclave journal
4 ) Emerald members DO NOT pay National Per-Capita for 3 years . Emerald Status members are obligated to pay National Headquarters Assessment , Regional Dues and Chapter Dues . ONLY NATIONAL PER CAPITA IS WAIVED .
