Dear Colleague,
Welcome to the National Council for State Title III Directors (NCSTIIID). It’s a tremendous honor to be serving as NCSTIIID’s president for the 2017-18 year, and I am really looking forward to getting to working collaboratively with each and every one of you during this year.
The NCSTIIID serves as the voice of ELs, representing SEAs and LEAs across the United States. You can be part of this voice! Learn more in the “Join NCSTIIID” section on page 3 of this document.
What’s ahead? This is a time of unique opportunities and challenges as states work with the US Department of Education implements the new education law—Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).

Education of ELs
The NCSTIIID assists and supports State Education Agencies (SEAs) and Local Education Agencies (LEAs) by providing educational activities and information that help SEAs and LEAs guide ELs to success.
Communication
The NCSTIIID organizes meetings, webinars, emails, and other messages to disseminate information important to SEA and LEA Title III Directors / EL Coordinators
Professional Development
The NCSTIIID provides trainings and up-to-date information for SEAs and LEAs through webinars and national conference presentations to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of EL educators.
