WIDA, 2018 Annual Conference, October 23–26, 2018, Detroit, MI. WIDA's annual conference will provide pre-K through Grade 12 educators of language learners opportunities for professional development, idea sharing, relationship building, and collaboration. There are pre-conference institutes on integrating science and language learning, language-focused family engagement, using WIDA standards and tools to support emergent multilinguals, and other topics.

La Cosecha, 23rd Annual Dual Language Conference, November 14–17, 2018, Santa Fe, NM. La Cosecha brings together educators, students, parents, researchers, and supporters of dual language education. U.S. Department of Education Assistant Deputy Secretary and OELA Director José A. Viana will be speaking at the conference, which features 260+ sessions to help support two-way and one-way immersion, developmental bilingual, and heritage language immersion programs.

The Seventh International Conference on Immersion and Dual Language Education, “Transforming Communities Through Multilingualism,” February 6-9, 2019, Charlotte, NC The goal of this conference, in partnership with CARLA, is to bridge the divides – between researchers and practitioners, between national and international colleagues, and among PreK- 20 immersion and dual language program professionals who serve a variety of learner audiences, including language majority, language minority and indigenous learners.
