Letter from the President
Dear Colleague,
It is an honor to serve as the 18-19 president of the NCSTIIID, an organization made up of hardworking volunteers who have a passion for serving as The Voice for ELs. The NCSTIIID Executive Board, Advisory Board, Committee Chairs and members have been hard at work strengthening the infrastructure of the organization to ensure our voice will be heard. You will see evidence of this throughout the newsletter via the new SEA and LEA spotlights, enhanced committee structure, council updates, US Department of Education highlights, webinar and meeting announcements and opportunities for YOU to get involved.
This is an exciting time as NCSTIIID examines the changing landscape under ESSA and explores ways to strengthen the organization as The Voice for ELs. There are many ways to share YOUR voice in this rebranding process. (cont. p2)
