This Is The Kiawah Conservancy I f you want to see the people who are part of the Kiawah Conservancy, just look in the mirror. We are the ones. We are visitors and residents who have reverence for a beautiful barrier island and its wildlife. The place does not belong to us. We belong to it, and our purpose is to preserve and enhance it so our children and their children will find the joy that surrounds us today. NK KIAWAH ISLAND,  2 3 4 The entrance to Kiawah Island and the river marsh area are just two of the 700 plus acres to be added to the properties to be preserved as natural habitat in perpetuity pursuant to the parcel trade agreement proposed between the Kiawah Island Community Association and the Kiawah Partners currently under discussion. We urge you to learn more about the agreement and recognize the positive environmental benefits. Information available at www.kiawahconservancy. org/yestokiawah. The Naturally Kiawah Garden in Night Heron Park provides a place where visitors and residents can learn about gardening with native plants or just relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. We invite you to be part of this special place by volunteering to be a Conservancy Garden Keeper. Work days are scheduled year-round, and we always need assistance to preserve this beautiful and important resource. Email Edna Roberds at [email protected] for more information. 72 Naturally Kiawah 5
