You Are the Kiawah Conservancy I n this issue we are focusing on the what, how and why of the many research projects on Kiawah Island. Our topics have been as small as an adopted squirrel and large as our entire ecosystem. Reading all this issue’s articles or even just browsing through it will remind you that preserving and maintaining the beautiful place called Kiawah is the business of everyone who sets foot on the Island. Casual visitors, employees, part-time residents and those lucky people who call Kiawah home can all play a part in assuring that our island will remain the Kiawah we love for future generations. Today is the day for you to determine your own mission—should you choose to accept it. WE LEARN WE PARTICIPATE Naturally Kiawah is just the beginning.
