You Are the Kiawah Conservancy
I
n this issue we are focusing on the what, how and
why of the many research projects on Kiawah Island.
Our topics have been as small as an adopted squirrel
and large as our entire ecosystem. Reading all this
issue’s articles or even just browsing through it will remind
you that preserving and maintaining the beautiful place
called Kiawah is the business of everyone who sets foot on
the Island. Casual visitors, employees, part-time residents and
those lucky people who call Kiawah home can all play a part
in assuring that our island will remain the Kiawah we love for
future generations. Today is the day for you to determine your
own mission—should you choose to accept it.

WE DONATE
This year the Kiawah Conservancy was named as the recipient
of a special donation by the Kiawah Property Owners Group
as it disbanded as an organization. We could not be more
excited about this special gift and are working with KPOG
representatives to determine
the most appropriate use of
their generosity. Donations
in every form are always
important:
•• Cash donations
•• Property donations
•• Employer’s matching
funds
•• Name a brick in the
Demonstration Garden
•• Remember the
Conservancy in your
estate planning NK
